Healthier Men Live Happier, Longer Lives

Guys don’t change easily. And subtle hints often just make them do the opposite of what they really ought to do. It’s an endearing trait, but when it comes to health, resistance to change can cause real problems.
Truth be told, adults in general aren’t great at changing long-standing habits. But you don’t have to change everything overnight to make a significant difference. Here are a few tips to set you out on the road to better health:
Don’t try to win the game in one play
A little exercise is better than none. One healthier meal per day isn’t as great as all three, but it’s a good place to start. A handful of supplements may be ideal, but you can start with just a multivitamin, or probiotics. Just get the ball rolling.
Start adding a healthier choice to things you already like to eat
If you’re a meat-eater, there’s no need to replace a steak with a soy burger—but add some roasted cauliflower to the meal, layered in butter from grass-fed cows, or some broccoli roasted with some bacon grease and sea salt. It’s easier to change things incrementally.
Make easy substitutions
You don’t have to quit sweeteners completely—just use healthier stevia or xylitol instead of sugar. Substitute fake mayonnaise with avocado oil or olive oil mayonnaise. Start small and easy.
Add fruits and vegetables the easy way first
For example, Berry Good Greens tastes great in water or juice, and every scoop gives you 25+ organic fruits and vegetables right away. Guy created this product for himself, because he wanted an easy way to get all the fruits and veggies we need in a day, with no fuss.
Find a form of exercise you enjoy enough to do regularly, and just start doing it
No big program or expensive investment necessary, just something you’ll start and keep doing—maybe that’s taking a yoga class, maybe it’s playing on a softball team, lifting weights, or walking with your dog. Just get moving with something fun. You’ll feel better right away.
Chill
If you tend to reach for junk food or booze when you’re stressed, have better alternatives around and try them instead. Sometimes we need to derail emotional connections that link stress and eating. There are some soothing herbal combos with ashwagandha, L-theanine, and chamomile that help you relax without putting you to sleep. Try to reach for those instead once in a while.
Have patience. Excess weight and health problems don’t pop up overnight. It takes awhile to become imbalanced, and it may take a while to right the ship. Start with a reasonable goal, celebrate the little victories, and stay the course. Once you begin even a few better habits, things will start to improve in life-changing ways before you know it.
